The special musical partnership between Italian superstar Andrea Bocelli and legendary super-producer David Foster started at the end of the nineties when the operatic tenor put his signature voice to Foster’s modern classic “The Prayer.” The two music icons built a strong friendship in the new millennium with Foster producing a string of wildly successful traditional pop works for Bocelli and appearing with Bocelli at several ensuing concert events broadcasted on television and eventually released on DVD. At the end of last year, they started working on the new Bocelli project that will be released internationally this week.

Arnold George Dorsey was a veteran UK singer made famous worldwide by the stage name Engelbert Humperdinck. Humperdinck was one of the most loved singers in the traditional pop/easy listening field with achievements spanning more than five decades. Since the second half of the sixties, Humperdinck’s unique style has brought to the charts on both sides of the pond some unforgettable romantic hits including “Release Me,” “The Last Waltz,” “Am I That Easy To Forget,” “A Man Without Love (Quando M’Innamoro)” and the Grammy nominated “After The Lovin’.” Humperdinck, with his signature vocals and sex symbol ways, was seen as the musical counterpart of UK superstar Sir Tom Jones.

“Midnight At The Oasis” was a 1974 hit single for American blues/rock singer Maria Muldaur. Written by noted songwriter David Nichtern, “Midnight At The Oasis” reached #6 on Billboard Hot 100. This single was eventually nominated at the 1975 Grammy Awards as “Record Of The Year” and “Song Of The Year.” The best features of the song were Muldaur’s sensual vocal performance, its irresistible soft/rock appeal and, last but not least, the exotic, saucy lyrics.
