THE JOY OF CHRISTMAS PAST

From A CHRISTMAS EVE IN LA
Written by David Foster, Arthur Janov & Chris Earthy

Showcasing the superior talent of Swiss producer Urs Wiesendanger along with an array of first-class studio musicians, “A Christmas Eve In L.A.” will for sure warm the hearts of quality music lovers throughout this holiday season.Wiesendanger’s inventive arrangements and keyboard playing shine on modern day classics like David Foster’s “Grown-Up Christmas List” which opens the album. Foster’s songwriting genius is represented by other gems like “This Time Next Year,” co-written with Babyface, “On Christmas Morning,” a collaboration with Kenny Loggins, and the gorgeous “The Joy Of Christmas Past,” an evocative, nostalgic song appearing for the first time on CD.
Featuring vocalists Thierry Condor and Miriam Dee, two of the best voices and skilled session singers available today, this album also includes wonderful renditions of Christmas evergreens like a big-band swing arrangement of “The Christmas Song” and a smooth, jazzy rendition of “White Christmas.” Donny Hathway’s “This Christmas,” Celine Dion’s “These Are The Special Times,” written by Diane Warren, and Robbie Buchanan’s “Born On Christmas Day” round out this special record.
Enjoy this wonderful music and Merry Christmas!!

Lyrics

Verse 1:
We are all together
It’s that special time of year
We have found each other once again

Verse 2:
When the snow begins to chill
And the days have a shorter light
We can find the joy of Christmas past

Chorus 1:
A time for all the family
A time to see just how much we’ve all changed
It’s a lovely time to renew…
Friends passing by to greet us
The glow of faces we all know so well
It all goes by… so fast,
We cherish all on Christmas past

Verse 3:
Kids in bed together
Can’t wait ’til the morning light
Opening each present by the tree
When it’s time to leave them all
And we’re left with our memories
We recall the joy of Christmas past

Chorus 2:
A time for all the family
A time to see just how much we’ve all changed
It’s a lovely time to renew…
And when I feel lonely
And tears swell up in the corner of my eye
I’ll stop and think of all of you…
I’ll remember all our Christmas… past.
