In the past few years, the legendary Hitman has been mentoring the New York-born pop/adult contemporary songbird. This fortunate chance has opened the door to many opportunities for Levesque including appearances at big charity events, international tours and collaborations with superstars Andrea Bocelli, Michael Bolton and Josh Groban. Levesque is also the wife of Fraser Walters of the renowned Canadian vocal quartet, The Tenors.
Recently, this gifted singer recorded a heart-warming cover of the classic Rodgers & Hart composition, “My Funny Valentine.” Levesque’s rendition of one of the most haunting love songs ever written has shaped up into a special release for Valentine’s Day. “My Funny Valentine” showcases Levesque’s beautiful voice and Foster’s moving accompaniment on the acoustic piano. This special duet generates some genuine magic as Foster dances around the singer with his masterful playing. Levesque’s vocal performance is pure gold delivered with command, elegance and various nuances that perfectly match the song’s gorgeous melody and memorable lyrics. “My Funny Valentine” was produced by Walters and engineered by Jochem van der Saag and Jorge Vivo.
“My Funny Valentine” is more evidence of the Canadian super-producer’s unique ear when it comes to discovering superior talents like Levesque. She displays huge potential to become the next big thing in the traditional pop field. Who is better than Foster to guide her to that goal?
