INDIA

from HURRICANE

written by Eric Benet, Dean Parks & Danny Peck

Eric Benet’s “Hurricane” is the third album by the talented R&B singer/songwriter. Released in June 2005, it presented in its tracklist a handful of refined songs produced by David Foster and Humberto Gatica. Those tunes were recorded a couple of years earlier and, compared to Benet’s previous, modern R&B efforts, show a different side of the singer, more intimate and acoustic.

YOU

from YOU/SHARE YOUR LOVE (single edit)

written by Maurice White, David Foster & Brenda Russell

The autumn of 1980 saw the release of “You” the second single from Earth, Wind & Fire’s extraordinary double album, “Faces.” “You” is an amazing soul/pop ballad co-written by Maurice White with David Foster and lyrics written by singer/songwriter Brenda Russell. This elegant song was evidently conceived as a follow-up to EWF’s milestone hit, “After The Love Is Gone” from their previous album, “I Am.”

YOU RAISE ME UP

from YOU RAISE ME UP (Radio Edit)

written by Rolf Lovland & Brendan Graham

“You Raise Me Up” is an inspirational song originally composed and performed in 2002 by Irish/Norvegian duo, Secret Garden. The song was brought to worldwide recognition by Josh Groban who recorded it, in 2003, for his second album, Closer. “You Raise Me Up” was the hit single off that album reaching the top of the adult contemporary chart where it stayed for six weeks. It was also Groban’s first entry on Billboard’s Hot 100 at #73 and it was eventually nominated for a Grammy as “Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.”
