THE SECRET OF MY SUCCESS

From BIG LIFE
Written by David Foster, Jack Blades, Tom Keane & Michael Landau

Night Ranger was one of the most successful American melodic rock groups of the mid-eighties. Started in 1979 by bassist/lead singer Jack Blades together with guitarist Brad Gillis and drummer Kelly Keaggy, they would add experienced keyboard player Alan Fitzgerald and second guitarist Jeff Watson to complete the group. Night Ranger released some successful records including “Midnight Madness” and “Seven Wishes.” They also enjoyed a string of top hit singles including “Sister Christian,” “Sentimental Street” and “When You Close Your Eyes.”

WHO’S RIGHT, WHO’S WRONG

From I DON’T WANT TO GET OVER YOU (single)
Written by Richard Page & Kenny Loggins

Co-written by two of the most brilliant pop composers, Richard Page and Kenny Loggins, “Who’s Right, Who’s Wrong,” is a masterpiece of West Coast music. This smooth, jazzy ballad was first recorded in 1979 by the group Pages on their stunning album, “Future Street.” Loggins, who was a guest on Pages’ take, included it on his album “Keep The Fire” with Michael Jackson and Page on backing vocals.

TO LOVE YOU MORE

From TO LOVE YOU MORE (single)
Written by David Foster & Junior Miles

“To Love You More” is one of those Céliné Dion/David Foster signature songs that helped shaping the adult contemporary sound of the nineties.  It was recorded in 1995 for the popular Japanese TV series, Koibito Yo (meaning My Dear Lover), and eventually released as a single in Japan. It immediately became a smash, selling more than 1.2 million copies, and became the best selling single ever by an international female artist in Japan.

CHANGE

From GOOD NEWS
Written by Paul Stallworth

In 1977, the group Attitudes prepared its sophomore effort eventually entitled “Good News.” This new record by session masters David Foster, Jim Keltner, Danny Kortchmar and Paul Stallworth was again released on George Harrison’s Dark Horse label. “Good News,” produced by Jay Lewis with the band, is pretty superior to their 1976 self titled debut with richer musical textures and better funky/pop compositions.

YOU’LL SEE

From THE SHOW MUST GO ON
