written by Martin Lee Gore

The forthcoming cd by Italian/French singer/songwriter and former supermodel Carla Bruni is the final project that David Foster produced during his tenure as head of Verve Records. Ms. Bruni is the wife of former French President Nicolas Sarkozy. The cd was recorded last year between Paris and Los Angeles. Ms. Bruni and Foster carefully picked a number of covers that will be the core of their collaboration. French Touch, as the cd is called, is scheduled for release on Friday, Oct. 6. This new collection was anticipated in May by the release of its first single, “Enjoy The Silence.”

written by David Foster

The 1988 Calgary Winter Olympics brought us “Winter Games,” one of David Foster’s most famous compositions and an enthralling instrumental theme. That year, “Winter Games” became a hit in Canada , a #28 Adult Contemporary hit in the US and a minor entry on Billboard’s Hot 100 at #85. “Winter Games” has a catchy, rousing atmosphere that caught the attention of famed arranger/band leader Chris Walden.

Traditional

After the triumphs of Josh Groban’s 2007 “Noel” and Andrea Bocelli’s 2009 “My Christmas,” David Foster just completed his hat trick of multi-platinum seasonal smashes with Michael Buble’s Fall 2011 release, “Christmas.” Buble’s holiday-themed compilation is already #1 on the charts worldwide and selling like hotcakes. Like its predecessors, “Christmas” will be a winner for this holiday season.
