Throughout the eighties, the God-given talent of Celine Dion built a huge buzz between Canada and other francophone countries. During that time, the Quebecoise songbird released a series of albums and singles in French that had very good chart resonance, mostly in her homeland. After an extremely promising start, the dawn of the nineties brought Unison, Ms. Dion’s introduction to international audiences. Released in April of 1990, Unison was completely sung in English and saw the young artist collaborating with David Foster.

Celine Dion built her superstar status in the nineties and the peak of her worldwide success was towards the end of that decade. After an impressive string of four multi-platinum releases for the international market, the Quebecois songbird recorded a Christmas cd in 1998 called These Are  Special Times. Once again, David Foster helmed a good portion of the music. The album became another out-of-the-box success for Dion with sales over five million copies in the US and over twelve million worldwide.

Celine Dion’s song “Beautiful Boy” was another tasty result of her fruitful collaboration with David Foster. “Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)” was written by the late, legendary John Lennon and included on his now-classic 1980 album “Double Fantasy.” The former Beatle wrote the song’s sweet, loving lyrics for his son Sean and they perfectly fit the concept of Dion’s “Miracle” cd.

“Be The Man” is a power ballad co-written and produced by David Foster for international superstar Celine Dion. The song was originally conceived for a 1997Japanese TV drama entitled “EVE.” Foster composed the entire soundtrack for the Japanese TV movie. Among the many masterfully crafted instrumentals there was “Be The Man.”

“The Power Of The Dream” is a song co-written by David Foster, Babyface and Linda Thompson for the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympics.
This evocative anthem was performed at the opening ceremony by Celine Dion accompanied by Foster on piano and the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra.
