David Foster has written and produced many funky/r&b anthems during the seventies, fantastic dance records like Cheryl Lynn’s “Got To Be Real”, Earth, Wind & Fire’s “In The Stone” and “Let Your Feeling Show”, Deniece Williams’ “I’ve Got The Next Dance”, The Brothers Johnson’s “Blam”… not too bad for the so-called “King Of Ballads”, huh? Another one of these dance numbers is a thing he co-wrote, in 1977, with Harvey Mason for the drummer’s “Funk In A Mason Jar” album.
