“You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” was Lou Rauls’ (1933-2006) biggest hit in his long and illustrious career. The late R&B star brought this smooth, dance song to fruition. “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” was co-written and produced by noted Philly soul hitmakers, Kenny Gamble and Leon Huff. This song went to the top of the R&B chart in 1976. That year, “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” was a multi-format hit, flying high on the Easy Listening chart, the Dance chart and Billboard’s Hot 100. Rawls was at the top of his game and his velvety baritone put his unforgettable print on the song. The single eventually sold over one million copies and was certified gold in the USA.
Many years later, this soulful composition was reworked by David Foster for Michael Bublè’s 2003 self-titled cd. The Hitman slowed down the tempo to fit with Bublè’s jazzy style and added lush orchestral magic and a sophisticated musical atmosphere. As usual, Foster crafted a killer traditional pop ballad.
In 2005, Bublè released his second live cd/dvd titled Caught In The Act. That live show was recorded at the Wiltern Theatre in Los Angeles and was broadcasted on PBS as part of its Great Performance series. On that occasion, the young, Canadian star performed songs from his first two Warner Bros. cds. Bublè delivered a fantastic version of “You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine” as a duet with Italian global star, Laura Pausini.

The arrangement followed the one included on Michael Bublè and impeccably delivered by the singer’s stellar live band. This duet version was very appealing with the two singing sensations trading lines with warmth and class. Foster and his partner in crime, Humberto Gatica, produced this live rendition with their trademark bravura.
Caught In The Act was a smash hit. The album was certified in the US as four-times platinum with its video sales and sold like hotcakes worldwide. It was nominated for a Grammy in the “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” category.

“It was my idea to record ‘You’ll Never Find Another Love Like Mine’ with Michael. I loved Lou Rawls original and thought it was a smart move to cover it on Michael Bublè. When it was time to do the live show, I told Michael about Laura Pausini and the possibility to record a duet with her on that song. He checked her out and shared my enthusiasm. We both love Laura and her singing. A Real Star!”
