Donna Summer and David Foster first crossed paths in 1982 when Quincy Jones enlisted the Canadian musician to work on the singer’s self-titled album. For that project, Foster co-wrote and arranged two songs, “Livin’ in America” and “Love Is Just a Breath Away.”
