from POPSTARS
written by David Foster & Linda Thompson
Eden’s Crush was a pop group made of five girls selected on the television series “Popstars” that aired in the US in early 2001. “Popstar” was an international franchise that can be considered a precursor for hit shows like American Idol and X Factor. David Foster supervised the American version of the show and his sister Jaymes was one of the judges. Foster’s 143 Records also released Eden’s Crush record in May 2001. Aptly entitled “Popstars,” the album presented a varied selection of well-dosed pop/dance songs mostly meant for young audiences and radio playing, not far from the sound of successful groups like “The Spice Girls.”
