Shania Twain is one of the most popular country/pop singers/songwriters ever. In the past fifteen years, this Canadian-born songbird has topped the charts with multi-platinum smash albums and wildly-popular hit singles like “From This Moment On,” “You’re Still The One,” “That Don’t Impress Me Much” and “Man! I Feel Like A Woman.”

Foster, given his amazing track record and unprecedented career, was the obvious choice to support Twain on her first new single in over six years and her first song in several years not produced by “Mutt” Lange. “Today Is Your Day” was written by the singer and has country overtones plus the acoustic feel of a delicious pop number that beautifully showcases Twain’s beautiful voice. Foster’s production is the usual state-of-the-art affair while the arrangement is catchy and radio-friendly. The song immediately appeared on Billboard’s Hot 100 at #66 and also made the Top 40 on the Hot Country Songs chart.
