The 1999 song, “Music Of My Heart,”was the title track and first single from the soundtrack of the Meryl Streep/Angela Bassett/Gloria Estefan movie of the same name. Written by hit-maker Diane Warren, this pop ballad paired one of the stars from the movie, pop/latin singer Estefan, with the ultra successful boy-band ‘N Sync. David Foster was the arranger and producer in charge for this project. Warren’s radio friendly, sweet melody enhanced by Foster’s impeccable vocal production and keyboard driven arrangement was a smash hit. Under Foster’s guidance, Gloria Estefan and the guys of ‘N Sync gave solid performances that would shoot the song to #2 on Billboard’s Hot 100 and the adult contemporary chart. “Music Of My Heart”was also certified gold and received both Grammy and Academy Awards nominations. The rest of the soundtrack includes mostly latin/dance stuff performed by famous acts like Jennifer Lopez, Julio Iglesias, Jr. and the late Aaliyah.
