Myriam Hernandez is a popular Chilean singer. She started her career in the late eighties and became especially well-known in Latin America for her passionate love songs. Hernandez often collaborated with her compatriot, Humberto Gatica, who engineered and produced many of her projects. Recorded mostly in Los Angeles, Gatica brought in the usual array of sessions aces like Mike Landau, John Robinson and Ramon Stagnaro. Gatica also invited David Foster to appear on a couple of occasions.
In 1994, Hernandez recorded “Por Siempre Juntos,” a Spanish cover of the beautiful Foster instrumental ballad “Forever Linda.” “Por Siempre Juntos” was included on her self-titled album that same year. Hernandez delivered an intense vocal performance backed by a classic, dramatic Foster arrangement. The original instrumental, “Forever Linda,” can be found on Foster’s solo record, “Love Lights The World.”
A few years earlier, Foster also played keyboards on “Sabia,” another ballad that was part of Hernandez’s 1990 hit album, “Dos.”
